SMP Training Program- Next class MAY 2024. WE NOW OFFER TATTOO LASER REMOVAL

How does the Tattoo laser removal process work?

For us at Luxe Micro Laser it starts with using the best laser removal machine in the business PicoFocus which is 100 times faster than traditional nanosecond technology, as a result the picosecond laser system we have breaks up tattoos faster than traditional laser.

It works by shattering even tiny ink particles making them easier for the body to clear the tattoo pigment.

The ultra-short pulses also optimize the delivery of the energy to the targeted ink particles ensuring the ink is effectively treated, while the least amount of heat gets transferred into the skin, you will feel minimal discomfort throughout the procedure.

Luxe Micro Laser removal Clinic will ensure your removal of the no longer wanted tattoo will be a thing of the past.

Most Frequent Questions And Answers

  • What happens during a laser tattoo removal procedure?

Before any laser treatment we will map out the tattooed area to determine the best treatment approach. Once the treatment begins we are firing off pulses of laser energy to break apart the pigments underneath the skin so they can be broken down over time by the body. Depending on the number and type of pigments used in the tattoo, the laser energy may be adjusted multiple times during treatment to achieve the best possible results.

  • How many treatments will I need?

Every tattoo is different due to a number of factors. The ink conditions, skin type, location and size, lifestyle habits, etc. Generally we recommend 2-3 treatments to fade or cover up and 5-7 for a complete removal. Some colours might need additional session.

  • Does laser tattoo removal hurt?

We would lie if we said tattoo removal wouldnt hurt hence why we reccomend Emla or Numit %5 cream. You can obtain them from your local chemist stores which will eliminate most of the pain.

  • How much does laser tattoo removal cost?

Our prices start from $50 per session depending on the size. When you come in for your FREE consultation or email across some photos we will then assess and measure your tattoo and make an estimate of cost and the number of treatments needed to remove it. Best assure our latest technology using Pico laser allows for us to remove the pigment quickly.

  • How will the skin be after a laser tattoo removal treatment?

The procedure using latest technology produces an immediate frosting of the skin. Straight after the procedure you might experience some redness, swelling and even scabbing sometime blistering around the area after treatment. This is a very normal process as the body works to eliminate the tattoo dyes. Throughout the entire treatments new layers of the skin growing, the old tattoo is being pushed towards the surface as well as fragmented pigment is removed internally by scavenger cells. This will overtime form a scab and then disappear, leaving fresh new and tattoo free skin.

  • How frequently will I need to return for some more laser removal treatment?

We reccomend that you wait minimum of 6 weeks to get the best results from each laser treatment

  • Will there be any scarring?

The laser removal does not leave scars, it simply targets the under your skin and breaks it down slowly. There are some risks of scarring for some health conditions, taking certain medications, or having a history of keloids or elevated scarring highly recommend following the necessary aftercare to avoid it.

  • AFTER-CARE

Please follow important steps below to ensure we can achieve best possible results from your laser removal treatment.

Sun exposure can damage the treated area as it is still in the healing process. Some of the risks can include skin discolouration, hyperpigmentation, hypopigmentation, infections, blisters and scarring. It is very important to avoid UV rays for at least 4 weeks by using SPF50+ and covering up.

On the day of the procedure you will have applied over the counter antibacterial ointment or cream. You can obtain creams like Bepanthen which will help to prevent infection and soothe the skin while keeping the area moisture to speed up the healing. Once cream is applied cover it up with dressing gauze. Repeat this step up to 5 days replacing each day with a new gauze dressing.

The area needs to be covered up until healed and 2 days from the time of finished treatment avoid getting it wet ( shower, swimming and hot tubs)

For the first 24hrs up to 48hrs avoid any exercise and and type of activities which will increase your heart rate and sweating.

Avoid drinking alcohol, smoking or even vaping  as it can reduce the amount of circulation at the surface of your skin.

If any serious pain or swelling occurs speak to your laser tattoo removal technician or seek medical advise.

After a week post your treatment continue to avoid sun exposure daily.

Continue to consume fluids to speed up the healing process.

Scabbing, light inflammation as well as crusts are common post your laser tattoo removal session.
